As a Wind Farm System Engineer you will be part of the Technology & Engineering organization and report directly to the Head of Wind Farm System Engineering. The position is located at Aker HQ in Fornebu, Oslo.

Expected start date for the position will be June 2022, but we are flexible to suit your graduation date.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the industrialization of the emerging deep water offshore wind power industry. Tasks and responsibilities will lie within the early-stage development activities, all the way through to final project completion, and wind farm operation.

You will:

  • work on exciting wind farm development projects as part of a project team together with more experienced colleagues
  • liaise with all other engineering disciplines, coordinating interfaces and technical input to support the development of different technical concepts and scenarios
  • develop and support a variety of technical project deliverables, e.g.: wind farm concept and layout drawings, technical scope of work, technical specifications, drawings, constraint analyses, O&M plans, environmental impact assessments, wind resource analyses etc


Who are you?
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experiences:

  • MSc engineering students who will graduate summer 2022 within the areas of Wind Energy, System Engineering, Mechanical, Marine, Renewable Energy, Industrial Economics or similar.
  • Strong academic results
  • Enjoy working in a multi-discipline and agile work environment
  • Curiosity to learn about all technical and non-technical aspects of offshore wind developments
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English. Other language skills (e.g. a Scandinavian language) are considered a plus
